What is Hyaluronic Acid?

  • What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic Acid is glycosaminoglycan which is important for your body's wound healing process. HA is a substance readily found in our skin and in many parts of our body, it is classified as a Hydrophilic “water loving” molecule. This sugar molecule is capable of retaining 1000x its weight in water, so in better terms, the more water you consume the more your skin will stay plumped up and hydrated which = best results!

As we age, we begin to have sagging skin and wrinkles. Using HA it attracts water to our skin cells providing us with a more youthful hydrated look! Hyaluronic acid is extremely safe, it can be directly injected into the eye during surgical procedures.

Another awesome thing about HA is that it is capable of lubricating joints. Which brings me to the next topic, Mesotherapy. The hyaluron pen is an extremely versatile tool. It can be used for Mesotherapy applications, which can also further expand your business services!

  • What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is an injection of chemicals, vitamins, minerals, hormones, enzymes, or even serums into the skin. The hyaluron pen pushes the actives into the deep layers of the skin to help your client rejuvenate their appearance.

With the HA pen the following actives may be used:

  1. Glutathione
  2. Peptides
  3. Vitamin c serum
  4. Stem cells

  • History

A little background knowledge: The hyaluron pen has been around for decades, this tool was created to combat needle phobias, as well as injecting insulin.

  •  Longevity of HA

Consistency is key! Anywhere from 4-12 weeks. If your client is consistent with getting their treatment done every 2-3 weeks, the longer the product will last. Water is so important for retention. I cannot stress this enough!

  •  Reactions \ functions of HA

With any procedure you can always encounter risk, the great thing about the hyaluron pen is that your chance of encountering any risks is minimal to none. Since the product being placed in your clients skin is already found in their body, there is zero percent chance of having an allergic reaction. This is also a non invasive needless treatment which means your client cannot have tissue damage or scarring from a needle.

  • Pre/Post After care guidelines

Before you perform the procedure make sure to go over the before and after care guidelines with your client. We will attach a document at the end of training for you to use. It's important to keep these documents on record once your client signs it, if your client would like a copy, give them a blank sheet.
